The history of the WOLFFKRAN company began more than 150 years ago in the German city of Heilbronn, when the tin foundryman Friedrich August Wolf opened a small iron foundry there. The first product - a batch of cast iron - was released by workers of the future WOLFFKRAN company on August 19, 1854. In the 70s of the nineteenth century, the management of the company passed to the sons of Friedrich Wolf - Julius and Richard. In addition to the production of cast iron, the brothers are actively involved in the production of steam engines, rollers, turbines, the improvement of lifting mechanisms and elevators. The ancestor of modern cranes is considered to be a steam winch with a chain transmission, released for the needs of river shipping in 1887. Eleven years later, in 1898, the first rotary crane was released. The next stage of WOLFFKRAN development was the Leipzig trade fair in 1913, where the company demonstrated its first tower crane. In 1931, the company entered the Swiss market, and in 1938, the current name of the company was formed - WOLFFKRAN.
Today, WOLFFKRAN is one of the world's largest manufacturers of overhead cranes. The company's production facilities, located in Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, produce a model range of more than 25 items.
WOLFFKRAN considers the introduction of the latest engineering developments into production and the development of service to be one of the most important areas of its activity. Thanks to this, the buyer receives, along with modern, high-quality equipment, consultations and assistance from the manufacturer in the operation and repair of cranes. The company's arsenal includes a number of special services: fastening the crane to the building, installation using helicopters, steeplejack services.
