JLG is an American company founded in 1969 by John L. Grove. Headquartered in the United States, Pennsylvania, the city of McConnellsburg. The company was originally founded as Fulton Industries, later renamed JLG Industries. This manufacturer was one of the first to supply lifting equipment to the lifting equipment market. During observations of industrial and construction sites, where workers are constantly forced to deal with scaffolding and platforms, where there is a constant need to deliver specialists and building materials to a height, the first lift appeared. As a result, the founders of the company came to the conclusion that a self-propelled and fully automated lift could become the best alternative to traditional construction equipment.
JLG Industries, INC, the largest manufacturer of crane and lifting equipment, presented its new self-propelled truck crane with a reachable area of 85,000 cubic meters in February 2014. m. The latest developments have made it possible to implement this model with a working height equal to a 19-story building, which makes it the tallest in the world and significantly increases the productivity of use.
The JLG 1850SJ self-propelled aerial platform from the Ultra Boom line can rise to an unprecedented height for this type of device, which previously only truck-mounted cranes could operate at. This technological breakthrough allows operators to work more efficiently within the construction site.
The JLG 1850SJ has a maximum lifting capacity of 450 kg, which allows the operator to simultaneously lift more tools and necessary materials to a high-altitude construction site. Productivity is also increased by reducing the duration of each work cycle: now the crane rises from the ground to the maximum level in less than 5 minutes, and the operator, accordingly, spends more time directly working, and less time managing the lifting operation.
The crane is equipped with a turbodiesel engine producing 99.8 horsepower. In addition, the all-wheel drive and four driving wheels significantly increase its maneuverability on the site.
The updated and improved LCD display of the device transmits even more necessary information, such as: service codes, engine status, fuel level, and other alerts for operators or the repair team.
In addition, the crane is equipped with a telescopic boom, which can be extended and retracted as needed to optimize the process. Thus, the machine has a wide range of use, such as the installation of metal structures, construction projects in the energy sector (such as petrochemicals, power supply), as well as the construction of wind power plants, stadiums, conference centers and concert venues.
