In the mid-90s, when developing JEKKO mini-cranes, the Italian Ormet S.p.A. group of companies focused on the introduction of advanced technologies, compliance with new safety standards and adaptation of equipment to the requirements of the construction market. Thus, the concept was based on a high-tech automated base, which served as the beginning of the formation of an independent JEKKO class of mini-cranes of a new generation, the main distinguishing feature of which is a wider range of tasks due to the use of controlled hydraulic nozzles that form a single whole with the crane.
Mini-cranes use a caterpillar track, which provides them with high cross-country ability, and the ability of the boom to rotate freely 360 degrees gives the equipment versatility in operation and the ability to solve a wide range of tasks without changing its position on the site. The lifting height of the boom of mini-cranes ranges from 7.2 to 23.5 meters.
Classic mini-crane JEKKO SPD360
The most versatile and classic model of a mini-crane. With minimal dimensions (width of only 80 cm) it has very serious technical capabilities. The boom, equipped with a hydraulic jib, has a reach of up to 14 meters, the lifting capacity can reach 1400 kg.
The mini-crane can operate from batteries, from a 380-volt network and from a diesel engine, equally well coping with work both indoors and outdoors.
As a rule, the model is used on the floors of buildings under construction as a winch (length up to 60 meters), for careful and high-precision installation work or work on installing engineering equipment.
Multifunctional mini-crane JEKKO SPX527
This model, only 1.1 meters wide, has all the advantages of a mini-crane, but in terms of functionality it is close to larger construction equipment. The boom reach of the SPX527 can reach 18 meters, and the lifting capacity is 2700 kg. The model has a Pick&Carry function (the so-called carrying of cargo "in the teeth") and can carry cargo weighing up to 500 kg.
This model is most often used in the field of low-rise construction, work on "soft" soils, and is also used to perform glazing work in cramped conditions.
Powerful mini-crane JEKKO SPX1040
The largest representative of the JEKKO family is the most effective model in terms of the ratio of the stabilization area to the lifted weight. Strictly speaking, the SPX1040 model is not a "spider", since it has straight outriggers. This will ensure a minimum stabilization area (17.6 square meters), and the boom reach of up to 23.5 meters and lifting capacity of up to 4000 kg allow the SPX1040 to solve unique problems in a limited space. For example, with the help of this mini-crane, you can carry out work inside reconstructed buildings from two to five stories high. Traditional technology involves erecting "scaffolds", constructing a system of pulley blocks for disassembling/assembling floors and delivering various loads during reconstruction. By supplementing (and in some places completely replacing) existing technological processes with the SPX1040 mini-crane, it is possible to reduce the time required to complete work by three or more times, depending on the object.
An important distinguishing feature of this model is its fully automatic control and Pick&Carry function, which allows the SPX1040 to be transported "in its teeth" and simultaneously handle loads weighing up to 2000 kg.
If necessary, it can be equipped with an additional set of counterweights, allowing for increased lifting capacity.
