HSC (Hitachi Sumitomo Crane) overhead cranes are examples of a competent technical solution from HSC, embodied in metal. The machines are optimally configured to perform their functions, the units are designed in detail. Strict production and assembly control guarantees the reliability of Japanese special equipment.
Model marking includes the conventional designation of the machine and the maximum lifting capacity (it corresponds to the smallest working boom reach) in kilonewtons. Load capacity curves, as well as other technical characteristics of Sumitomo cranes are presented on our website.
Classification
According to the classification of lifting machines by various features, the overhead crane belongs to the following types.
Type of lifting device: hook / grab.
Possibility of movement: self-propelled.
Type of support (driver): crawler.
Degree of rotation: full-turn.
Mechanism drive: hydraulic, multi-motor.
Type (design) of lifting mechanism: boom.
It is also possible to use some models (for example, the SCX1200-3 crawler crane) with a tower-and-boom equipment.
The boom of the HSC Hitachi Sumitomo self-propelled crane can, in turn, be classified:
By the method of positioning the load gripper: shunting (lifting).
By design: lattice. Accordingly, extendable; the method of fastening is on a flexible suspension. The required length and configuration are obtained by connecting sections.
Technical solutions
The shunting boom is classic for a self-propelled crane. Its advantage over the beam boom is the simplicity of the design (there is no load trolley). The disadvantage - more complex positioning of the hook - is compensated by excellent controllability and smooth movement of the mechanisms of the HSC Hitachi Sumitomo boom crane.
The boom of the lattice design, unlike the telescopic one, requires preliminary installation. However, it is capable of withstanding significantly greater loads.
A full-swing scheme and hydraulic drive of mechanisms are also typical for crawler cranes. In such cases, a multi-motor drive is used: mechanical energy from the internal combustion engine is transmitted by the working fluid of the hydraulic system to the hydraulic motors. Each system - lifting equipment, platform rotation mechanism, travel drive - has an individual hydraulic motor (or several), a gearbox, a mover. This scheme is compact, provides stepless transmission of torque, allows you to accurately adjust the force and speed at the output.
A 6HK1 diesel engine manufactured by Isuzu is used as a source of mechanical energy. It is also possible to install a motor from Cummins, Mitsubishi and other reliable manufacturers. The low-speed engine generates significant torque and functions stably under load.
Features
HSC hydraulic cranes Hitachi Sumitomo are characterized by an excellent combination of compactness and lifting capacity. A small maneuverable machine will perform tasks that would require a tower steel giant. The fuel consumption/performance ratio of SCX crawler cranes is also noteworthy. Hoisting machines are rarely used at full capacity: the weight of the loads can vary greatly. The HSC Hitachi Sumitomo produces as much power as is needed at the moment and does not waste fuel. The rotation speed of the ICE shaft does not affect the winch speed.
In addition, SCX self-propelled boom cranes are valued for their reliability, comfort, excellent controllability and safety.
