The American-German engineering company Grove Worldwide is one of the world leaders in the production of mobile hydraulic cranes with a lifting capacity of 15 to 550 tons.
The history of this manufacturer began in 1947. From the first day of its existence, Grove specialized in the production of cranes and very quickly achieved significant success. Nevertheless, it continued to develop further. By the way, it was under the brand of this manufacturer that the world's first small-sized rotary overhead crane was released in 1968, and in the 70s, a model with a trapezoid boom, as well as a full-swing model, rolled off the Grove assembly line. In 1995, Grove acquired the crane manufacturing company from Germany KRUPP. Consistent development in the 90s of the 20th century allowed the company to become one of the leading manufacturers of lifting equipment.
Today, Grove, together with Potain (France, one of the leaders in the production of tower cranes) and National Crane (focused on the markets of North and South America), is part of the largest American crane corporation Manitowoc. Since 2002, the huge and successful Manitowoc corporation has been producing all known types of cranes designed for construction work - crawler, tower and mobile.
Grove enterprises are located in the American city of Shady Grove, German Wilhelmshaven, and also in the Italian commune of Niella Tanaro.
Today, the company's model range is represented by various types of equipment - from truck cranes (mounted on trucks) to stationary industrial models. In addition, Grove is considered one of the main suppliers of military cranes for the ministries of defense of various countries around the world.
